Dictionary

We were sorting out books in our joint classroom at work and came across this old, battered dictionary. I thought I could do some cool art with it, so I kept it. Trying my hand out at diptychs.

Bluesy

This is not really what I had in mind, but I guess it's pretty close.
I've had this harmonica for ages, I've brought it along during all my moves... I can barely play it but I'm hoping that one day... Anyway, I just wanted to showcase the instrument because it looks pretty cool. I also wanted an old feel, so I added a texture. Don't know if I succeeded.
This project is a lot about trying out new things, experimenting, daring, learning. So far, I'm having a lot of fun.

Tournesols

I have more time now to mess around with pictures so I decided to try something something other than the usual colour picture of sunflowers. I used desaturisation in order to make the picture old, added a blurry border... it has an old postcard feel I find.

What I like a lot about this resort is all the old architecture and buildings/houses you can find. Lots of history and character showing.

Taken in my SIL's garden. I noticed I have been using B&W a lot lately. I like it.

Phnom Penh is a city of contrasts. This is a good example: what looks like it used to be a very chic place, now falling apart, mounted with billboards for beauty products.

I like the look of this picture, it has a "old" feel about it, perhaps because it's in black and white.

Taken from my balcony. I just like the old feel of this. And the fact that the blinds are always closed makes me wonder if anyone lives there...
