Monks

I love seeing them around. This picture was taken on the tuk-tuk *while it was still in motion*. That's how good my camera is.
Post-treatment: crop, slight contrast.

Taken with a Samsung SL605.

Ombre & Lumiere

I like the accidental blur on my face and the fact that it is mostly in the shadows.
The thing in the foreground is one of my lamps, a beautiful thing made of silk.

Breathe

Because you have to.

I've been feeling ill today, had energy for nothing, felt like something was stuck in my throat and stomach. This came up. I felt it summed up the situation.
Post-treatment: slight desaturation, slight contrast, crop.

Lantern

Was out tonight and for some reason couldn't take a photo that wasn't blurry... this one I like though. The movement, the "double" effect... it's okay.

From One Balcony

... to another.
Took this pic with my new cam. No desaturation.
I just loved the scene, the open door, the clothes drying out, the shutters... there might be a story hiding there.
Post-treatment: crop, contrast, sharpen.

Taken with a Samsung SL605.

Reflective

Was feeling a bit reflective today, a mixture of things... digesting a lot of visually challenging stuff I came across today.
Hesitated a bit on whether I should desaturate the pic or keep it as it is. I want to stick to the original as much as I can, and the next pic is in B&W, so I kept this. Plus I like the light.
Post-treatment: cropping.

New Camera

I have a new camera, a point-and-shoot, that will be very useful for me outside, instead of my big orange one.
Watch this space.

Keep It A Secret

Can you? ;)

B&W

To complete the previous shoot... two of my favourite things: skulls and cats. And a gratuitous picture of my chest.
Post-treatment: desaturation, contrast.

Colours

Photo taken at the school this morning. I just love the order and the brightness of the colours.

Compartmented

A place for everything and everything in its place. I like keeping the clutter to a minimum. To me, less is more.

Taken with a Sony Webbie MHS-CM1 HD Camcorder.

Up

Sometimes, accident turn out well. That's serendipity for you.
I like the light on this one.

Eye Can See You

Been messing around again. Had something in mind, but it didn't work out. At least, I know what to do next time. This one is kind of funny, I like it. Oh, and sorry about the cheeseball title.

Apartment

Taken from my balcony. I just like the old feel of this. And the fact that the blinds are always closed makes me wonder if anyone lives there...
Post-treatment: crop, slight contrast.

Uke

New uke too, for hubby. The picture doesn't really do the instrument justice, it's gorgeous and has a lovely sound.
Post-treatment: slight contrast and brightness added.

Glasses

New glasses today! love the shape and colour.

Jeans

I know it's been done... but you do need to try out a bunch of stuff, don't ya?
I like the reflection on this one. Maybe should have cropped it a bit?

Sign

Guess how I took this one...?
I like the effects of the lights and the sheets still hanging out. The sign is an advert for Angkor Beer.

Night

Another scene taken from my window. Wonder what happens behind those walls...
Not much inspiration today, and not much time...
Post-treatment: slight crop.

How I Spend My Days

I've been spending my days rewriting stuff for my French chapbook. I do a lot of actual writing. And I listen to a lot of music, mostly instrumental, for inspiration. And I also look out of the window, of course.

Bonbon

I took quite a few pictures today that I wasn't entirely satisfied with, and then I had the idea to mess around while eating sweets. I wish the lips were a bit redder though.
Post-treatment: light brightness and contrast added.

Kampuchea Krom

Where we bought our new guitar, about a month ago. I like the name of the street.

Clothes

Yes, I like taking pictures of other people's homes through my window. Voyeuristic? oh, please.
Post-treatment: slight contrast.

Tool

I'm using it every day. I do lots of things on the computer, but still need to write stuff down.
Beware of me and my weapon...

Me this morning enjoying the first rays of the rising sun.

I just love those lights. They look so good. Plus the reflection on the marble is kind of cool.

Couple

This one was serendipity. I saw this couple through my window and started taking pictures of them (yeah, I know...). I'm surprised at the quality, considering I zoomed and there was glass between us. I just really like this shot for some reason.
Post-treatment: light contrast added.

Taken with a Sony Webbie MHS-CM1 HD Camcorder.

Pondering...

...the meaning of goof :p
I was working on something and every time I work on something "arty" I like to have something on my head, or in my hair... and then I started messing around with the camera.
It's nice to not be serious all the time...

Stairs

Kind of what I had in mind. Something incomplete, that looked as though it had been cropped. This is it.
The blur was unintentional. No post treatment. Thought about calling it "Self Portrait on Stairs" but it sounded kind of pompous to me :p

Monument of Independence, Phnom Penh

Not a bad picture, I was surprised. My camera doesn't deal well with low light settings...
Taken after seeing the exhibition Love, Lust and Loathing at Java Cafe.

Meditation

I have "always" meditated on and off... I need to get back to it. I also enjoy wearing things on my head :)
I like the softness of the light here... it was partially natural light.
Already been doing this for a week... Yay!

Taken with a Sony Webbie MHS-CM1 HD Camcorder.

Arty Book

A notebook a good friend gave to me some time ago. I use it to draw and write. I really like the pattern, I thought it was intricate. I might photography it again in a more interesting manner.
Post-treatment: cropping.

Quick, easy, and cute. What more do you want? ;)

Lounging

Funny how many pictures of me there are already lounging, stretching, resting...

Taken while on the tuk-tuk. I like the accidental artistic blur. Gives out the vibe of the city pretty well.

Bed

I had this idea for a photo in my head for a long time. I like the softness, the grain.
Post-treatment: bit of cropping.

Taken with a Sony Webbie MHS-CM1 HD Camcorder.

Post-Modern

A camera taking a picture of itself? could you be any more post-modern...?
I actually like this, it looks kind of cool.

Chill 'N' Ill

Me today, resting, with a cold, listening to music. Natural light.
Post-treatment: crop.

After yesterday, I kind of had to :p Almost the same setup. No post-treatment.

Phnom Penh by Night

Taken from my balcony. A bit of an easy shot, but I like the mood. You can get a glimpse of Wat Phnom in the background.

Taken with a Sony Webbie MHS-CM1 HD Camcorder.

Blurry

I have felt a little bit out of focus today... but more seriously, the camera did this by itself, and I liked it, so I kept it. No post-treatment.

Portrait #1

Just what I had in mind. I'm glad of the way this picture turned out. Taken in one of the bathrooms (better light).
Will probably find a more fitting title later. Or not.

First Drink of the Day

A cup of jasmine tea, piping hot. The way I like it.
